I am like a banyan tree
Laying roots is an interesting concept to me. And “Settling down” just seems so
unfathomable and abstract. I will
definitely never have one long deep taproot like a papaya tree. I am much more like a banyan. (Which is definitely rad because I am a big
fan.) But my trend throughout my life
especially now is to lay a few yet shallow roots like everywhere that I
go. I don’t really care that I don’t
have a hundred people that I grew up with my entire life that I can see in the
same town if I were to “go home” (whatever that means…. I AM home damnit). I always thought, and now on art tour its
pretty well verified, that wherever I go, I probably know someone I can stay
with, and if I don’t, I’ll meet someone and stay with them, thus laying another
tiny root somewhere. Yay!
And banyan trees are clearly the most fun to climb. So climb about homies and lets go explore some shit!
