Art and Alcohol

Tulsa has been super sweet!
It helps that I'm not here alone but with a good friend that I know from Maui.
We had a killer triple booth outside of the most popular dive-ish-bar in Tulsa and I ended up selling double what I have been!  The show really starts to get rolling around after 1 which is totally an appropriate hour to commence drinking... and we did.  I had a good buzz on from a whole buncha cidres on draft Saturday and sold 2 originals!! The second of which was a pretty hilarious story so we'll cut to that.  So this wasted twenty-something kid had been staring at my piece "Sunset in Kapalua" My friend Earl had been talking to him and knew he was ready to buy so he got me to come chat with this guy about my piece.  So we banter about it, he tells me how he works in finance and makes all this money and how much he loved the piece because it showed how money doesn't matter.  Which was about a million times more profound then the following comment which went as follows "my parents are going to kill me, I'm gonna have to borrow money from them... you dont understand, I buy ALOT of cocaine and aderol."  So I love how quickly it went from "I've got this great finance job and i can buy whatever i want" to "I'm broke because I do too many drugs".  haha...
Anyways, that shit cracked me up, and long story short he didnt come back that night to get the painting.  Nor did he return on sunday to get the painting alllllll day until we were literally 5 minutes from having everything broken down and in the RV to go and he rolls up.  I give him the piece, he looks at it through the bubble wrap, says "cool, is this is?" followed by "so we're all good?" Then walks away haha.
I had heard about the drunk art patrons before but now I have experienced when Art and Alcohol mingle :)
........To Chicago........
